On Sunday 18th September 2011 we were incredibly lucky to receive a visit from His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex who had been in Kenya working with the international arm of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. He came to Jinja on a one day visit taking in the war memorials, Owen Falls Dam (opened by the Queen in 1947) and then to Soft Power Education.

HRH arrived at midday to a fantastic performance by pupils from Wansimba Primary School who sang a traditional welcome song. He was then taken on a tour of The Amagezi Education Centre highlighting our innovative approach to teaching life skills through fun and interactive lessons.

A huge thank you firstly to all of the SPE staff who made this day possible, secondly to the staff at The British High Commission in Kampala and of course to His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex for visiting Soft Power Education.
We hope to have a link to the footage shown on the Ugandan news later this week and will of course let you know as soon as we.
