Based at the Amagezi Education Centre (AEC) and led by the AEC staff, the Community Development Programme (CDP) is aimed at educating communities in sustainable life skills, maximising the potential of the education centres.
During term time the AEC provides the opportunity for school children to attend sessions in a unique environment offering practical and interactive learning. We aim to maximise use of the centre, therefore, all year round, several community programmes aimed at sustainable life skills for both adults and children are available to the entire community. The AEC acts as an inspiring community centre with opportunities for Agriculture, ICT, Art and Craft, Library sessions and English classes.
CDP offers several art and craft apprenticeship schemes through the Endowoza Arts Centre, ICT/Library for secondary pupils, English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) classes, as well as an agriculture project involving parents of the children attending the Primary Class 6 (P6) Pupil's Project and a Tailoring Project.
