In the summer of 2007 we had some very dedicated volunteers who took on the challenge of refurbishing Kyabirwa Children's Centre. It didn't need quite as much work as Buwenda Pre School but Niamh, Anna, Olivia, Helen and Browny along with many others took the pre school and gave it a whole new brightly coloured look.
The outside was repainted with an incredible mural on the back of the school and fun rhymes and pictures on the front
The inside was given a fresh coat of paint with teaching aids painted all over, like Helen is doing below
The jungle gym was repaired and a freshly painted water catchment tank reinstalled
The result was a beautiful bright new pre school for the 120 pupils.
