WAYS TO DONATE
Thank you for visiting our donation page. If you would like to make a donation to Soft Power Education, or are looking for more information about where to send your fundraising, you can find all the information you need right here. If you are a volunteer, also see the FAQ section of our fundraising packs. If your question is not answered, contact us.
If you are interested in supporting our programmes on a more long-term basis, we welcome you to set up a standing order. By doing this, you will automatically become a ‘Friend of Soft Power Education’ – we will send you a t-shirt and timely updates on the programmes your donation is helping to support.
Of course all donations – big or small, frequent or one-off – are greatly appreciated, but standing orders are particularly helpful as they allow us to budget effectively.
If you live in the UK, you can set up a standing order now using the UK bank details (below). Please also print off our standing order form and post it to our UK address so we know who you are and can say thank you! You can change your contact preferences at any time using our contact form.
To donate via cheque, please post it to our UK address. Please ensure you enclose your details so we know who it has come from and where to allocate it.

Paying directly into our UK bank account is the only way that to ensure that we receive 100% of your donation, as online fundraising platforms, PayPal etc. all incur usage charge. To donate via bank transfer, use the following details:
Account Name: Soft Power Education
Account Number: 91349511
Sort Code: 40-14-09
149 Whiteladies Road
Tel: 08457 404 404
To donate via PayPal, use firstname.lastname@example.org as the payment address. However, please do remember that we get charged about 5% for this service so if you are in the UK, or have a UK bank account, it would be best to transfer your donation straight to our UK bank account (as above). That way, we won’t lose any of your donation to transaction fees.
If you are a Soft Power Education volunteer, organising a fundraising event where you are looking for sponsors, or collecting donations from multiple people, it’s best to set up a JustGiving page.
JustGiving is a global online platform for giving and makes fundraising extremely easy! People can donate in a few simple clicks from the comfort of their own homes and the link to your JustGiving page can be easily shared on social media.
You can also make a one-off donation to us through our JustGiving page. However, please note that JustGiving charge all charities a usage fee, so up to 5% of your donation will be lost. If you are making a one-off donation, the only way that you can ensure we will receive 100% is via bank transfer. Contact us for further details.
If you live outside of the UK, it is often most cost-effective to pay via PayPal (above) or to transfer your donation straight into our UK bank account best to donate via Paypal (above) or to transfer money straight into our bank account as follows:
If you are collecting donations from several people, please contact us to find out the best way to send us the donation.
If you are a UK tax payer, make your donation tax-efficient. It costs nothing to you and means we can claim an additional 25% on eligible donations (for every £1 donated, we get an extra 25p).
To ensure we can claim Gift Aid on your one-off or recurring donation, please complete our Gift Aid form and post it to our UK address. If you are organising a sponsored event, please ask all UK tax payers to complete the details on our Sponsorship form and post it to our UK address.
