Kyabirwa Primary School

Kyabirwa Primary School is right in the heart of Kyabirwa village, close to the river Nile – in between banana plantations, agricultural land and local mud huts. This community have gifted us land for our Education Centre site as well land for our second pre-school, Kyabirwa Children’s Centre.

Before Soft Power Education worked here the school had:-

  • 3 government standard classrooms – 4 poor structures
  • 14 pit latrine toilets
  • Water source – spring 2.5 km away

During  & After

With the assistance of many volunteers and their generous donations Soft Power has done the following:-

  • Hosted an International Community Arts Project
  • Painted all 12 classrooms both inside and out
  • Refurbished classroom floors and verandas
  • Resourced all departments via international links through schools
  • Placed voluntary teachers within the school
