We first visited Iwololo Primary School in 2005 when we thought we might be able to start looking at the primary schools in the Butagaya Sub County. Ten years later we are finally able to work at this school! There are many buildings in need of some serious attention. 2015 will finally see this school receive the long awaited SPE treatment! Thanks to the Berkshire Scouts we will be repairing seven existing classrooms, building a brand new staff house for two teachers and replacing the roof and ceiling on an existing staff house which has become unusable after a leak destroyed the ceiling.
The repair works are already well under way as we await the arrival of the Scouts in July.
Be sure to check back over the coming months as we’ll be keeping you updated on the progress of the projects taking place there.
